Farah Jacques

Biography

Farah Jacques faced a pivotal moment in her career in 2012 when an ankle injury forced her to stop track and field for a year and half. It was also the moment that made her realize that athletics was her life. When she was healthy again, she resumed training, more determined than ever to achieve her Olympic dream and leave nothing to regret. In March 2016 she ran a personal best 23.21 seconds in the 200m before finishing third in the distance at the Canadian championships. Named to the Rio 2016 Olympic team, Jacques ran the lead-off leg for the 4x100m relay that finished sixth, the first time Canada had advanced to the event final since Los Angeles 1984.
