Gabriella Brisson

Biography

Gabriella-Brisson_600Gabriella Brisson has dreamed of representing Canada at the Olympic Games for as long as she can remember. As soon as she began competing in the sport she realized she was passionate enough to take it to the highest possible level. As a member of the junior national team from 2010 to 2012, Brisson contributed to a team bronze medal at the 2010 FINA World Junior Championships. She made her second appearance at the event in 2012. In 2011 she was a gold medallist in both the duet and team events at the Pan American Championships. Brisson moved up to the senior national team in 2012 and was a member of the squad that competed at the 2014 FINA World Cup in Quebec City.

PERSONAL

Family: Older sister Ali… Getting into the Sport: Started synchro at age 7… During summer camp days at the Talisman Centre in Calgary she would watch in awe as the local club teams practiced; the complexity and grace of the movements compelled her to try the sport… Outside Interests: Enjoys playing guitar, reading, bike riding, hiking and cooking… Graduated high school in 2012… Odds and Ends: Nickname: Gabe… Always travels with a good book… Tries to buy a postcard from every city she visits…
