Jessica Ruel participe \u00e0 son premier Championnat national senior en 2006. \u00c2g\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e0 peine 15\u00a0ans, elle est la plus jeune athl\u00e8te en lice, mais cela ne l\u2019emp\u00eachera pas de terminer 3e<\/sup> chez les 48\u00a0kg. Championne nationale junior de 2008 \u00e0 2011, elle obtient une m\u00e9daille d\u2019argent aux Jeux du Commonwealth de 2008 et participe \u00e0 trois Championnats du monde juniors. Elle d\u00e9croche son premier titre canadien senior en 2012 chez les 53\u00a0kg, avant de passer chez les 48\u00a0kg en 2013 et d\u2019en remporter un deuxi\u00e8me. Elle d\u00e9cide ensuite de remonter chez les 53\u00a0kg, o\u00f9 elle encha\u00eene deux titres nationaux en 2014 et 2015. Sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale, Jessica a particip\u00e9 aux Jeux du Commonwealth de 2014 et \u00e0 deux Championnats du monde.<\/p>\n

Famille\u00a0:<\/strong> Sa m\u00e8re s\u2019appelle Chantal Ruel, sa jeune s\u0153ur se nomme M\u00e9lanie et son mari, Richard Jasmin. D\u00e9buts\u00a0:<\/strong> Elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 faire de l\u2019halt\u00e9rophilie en d\u00e9cembre 2003 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 12\u00a0ans apr\u00e8s que sa s\u0153ur s\u2019y soit mise quelques mois plus t\u00f4t. Elle avait auparavant fait de la gymnastique pendant cinq ans. Autres int\u00e9r\u00eats\u00a0:<\/strong> Elle fait un baccalaur\u00e9at en sciences comptables \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec en Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue.<\/p>\n
