Afin d\u2019exceller dans un \u00e9v\u00e9nement olympique qui combine trois sports tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents, les athl\u00e8tes doivent \u00e9galement avoir la vitesse, l\u2019\u00e9nergie et la force dans leurs coffres \u00e0 outils.<\/p>\n<p>La Canadienne <a href=\"http:\/\/develop.olympic.ca\/olympique\/team-canada\/joanna-brown\/\">Joanna Brown<\/a>, membre de l\u2019\u00e9quipe des Jeux panam\u00e9ricains de 2015, a pratiqu\u00e9 le hockey, la gymnastique rythmique et le football avant de passer au triathlon. Photo: Kevin Light<\/p><\/div>\n<p>C\u2019est entre autres par le <a href=\"http:\/\/develop.olympic.ca\/olympique\/2017\/01\/12\/a-la-recherche-des-olympiens-de-demain-avec-le-camp-des-recrues-rbc\/\">Camp des recrues RBC<\/a> que Triathlon Canada d\u00e9niche la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019\u00e9toiles de triathlon, car le camp teste la vitesse, la puissance, l\u2019endurance et la force des recrues potentielles lors d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00e0 travers le pays.<\/p>\n<p>Vous voulez savoir ce qui rend ces quatre qualit\u00e9s la cl\u00e9 du succ\u00e8s? La course \u00e9tait extr\u00eamement froide, avec des temp\u00e9ratures aussi basses que sept degr\u00e9s Celsius.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Le triathlon en distance olympique porte vraiment sur la force. Les athl\u00e8tes de triathlon les plus exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s y connaissent plus de succ\u00e8s que les jeunes. Par exemple, l\u2019\u00e2ge moyen sur le podium \u00e0 Rio chez les femmes \u00e9tait de 29,3 ans. C\u2019est donc vraiment un sport pour les athl\u00e8tes plus matures qui ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 cette force\u00a0\u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 Brown \u00e0 Olympique.ca.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Et la force n\u2019est pas seulement physique; c\u2019est aussi mental. Vous devez \u00eatre capable de vous engager tr\u00e8s longtemps dans le sport et ne pas voir les r\u00e9sultats imm\u00e9diatement.
