Cette saison, le planchiste de 23 ans originaire de Sainte-Marie a r\u00e9colt\u00e9 trois m\u00e9dailles d\u2019or, deux d\u2019argent et une de bronze en \u00e9preuves de Coupe du monde. Il a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 couronn\u00e9 champion du monde senior pour la toute premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve masculine de snowboard cross des Championnats du monde FIS de snowboard 2025 \u00e0 Engadin, en Suisse, \u00e0 la fin mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab C\u2019est incroyable. Les 10-12 derniers jours ont \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement fous. Aujourd\u2019hui, je voulais juste gagner \u00e0 la maison, devant tout le monde \u00bb, a confi\u00e9 Grondin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La veille, le planchiste canadien avait remport\u00e9 la m\u00e9daille d&rsquo;argent. Avec ce r\u00e9sultat, il d\u00e9crochait officiellement le globe de cristal r\u00e9compensant le champion de la saison en Coupe du monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;athl\u00e8te de 23 ans devait monter sur le podium lors de l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve de samedi pour esp\u00e9rer mettre la main sur le globe de cristal, et il a accompli cet exploit avec panache, se battant ardemment pour une deuxi\u00e8me place derri\u00e8re l&rsquo;Autrichien Jakob Dusek. L&rsquo;Am\u00e9ricain Nathan Pare avait termin\u00e9 troisi\u00e8me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le favori de la foule locale \u00e9tait en t\u00eate de course pendant quasiment toute la dur\u00e9e de l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve mais n&rsquo;avait pas pu r\u00e9sister au retour de l&rsquo;Autrichien qui l&rsquo;avait coiff\u00e9 sur la ligne d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e.
