Golden Day 1 for our Canadian Olympic Athletes in Sochi with 3 medals: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. After one day of competition, Canada is ranked number 2 in the overall metal standings, behind only Norway’s 4 medals: 2 Gold, Silver and Bronze.
First medal for Canada awarded to 1st time Olympian Mark McMorris, Bronze in #Slopestyle #Snowboarding! Men’s #Slopestyle Finals also saw Max Parrot finish 5th and Sebastien Toutant finish 9th.
All 3 famous Dufour-Lapointe Sisters and Audrey Robichaud qualified for the Ladies Moguls Finals. Justine Dufour-Lapointe awarded the Gold medal while Sister Chloe Dufour-Lapointe was awarded a Silver medal!
Women’s Hockey Team cruised past Switzerland in the opening matchup 5-0.
