Kirchmann third in London road race prior to Olympic debut
Prior to pedalling on the streets of Copacabana in the Rio 2016 road race, Leah Kirchmann enjoyed a podium finish on Saturday in the UCI Women’s World Tour.
The Canadian was third in RideLondon, racing at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where the Games took place four years ago.

Finishing behind Dutch great Kirsten Wild and another Netherlands rider in Nina Kessler, Kirchmann – who was ninth in tour rankings heading into the weekend – will take additional confidence into her first Olympic Games.
