Kenny Lally
Biography
Kenny Lally has wanted to wear the maple leaf since the first time he saw the Olympic Games on TV. He won his sixth national title in October 2014 after he had taken a year away from the national team following the 2013 World Championships to rest and spend time with family. While he continued to train, aiming to add bulk and power to his frame, Lally missed the chance to compete at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Lally is yet to make his Olympic debut, coming up short of qualifying for London 2012 when he lost in the quarterfinals of the continental qualification tournament. Lally made history at the 2010 Continental Championships in Quito, Ecuador where he became just the third Canadian boxer to ever defeat a Cuban competitor, taking down Marcos Forestal en route to the silver medal.
