Biography
In his Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018, forward Mason Raymond helped Team Canada win the bronze medal. In the leadup to PyeongChang 2018, Raymond played for Team Canada in the Spengler Cup, Karjala Cup, and Sochi Hockey Open in 2017. He previously wore the maple leaf at the 2010 IIHF World Championship and the 2016 Spengler Cup, where he helped Canada win gold. Raymond played two seasons (2005-07) at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He was selected in the second round, 51st overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He has played 546 NHL games for the Canucks (2007-2013), Toronto Maple Leafs (2013-14), Calgary Flames (2014-16) and Anaheim Ducks (2016-17). In 2011, he helped the Canucks reach the Stanley Cup Final, but in Game 6, he suffered fractured vertebrae when he was hit into the boards. He was able to resume playing five and a half months later. In 2017-18, Raymond joined Bern SC of the Swiss League.
