Rachel Hannah

Biography

Rachel Hannah ran her debut marathon in 2:33:30 in May 2015 in Ottawa. In 2014 she was the Canadian Champion in the 10km, Half Marathon and Cross-Country. Hannah attended Georgia State University on a five year scholarship for track and field and cross-country.

PERSONAL

Family: Parents Bob and Ingrid… Older sisters Kerry and Michelle Hannah… Getting into the Sport: Started running at age 7… Was inspired by a teacher who was passionate about running and encouraged students to run daily… Outside Interests: Earned a Bachelor of Health and Human Sciences in Nutrition in 2009 from Georgia State University… Works as a registered dietician… Odds and Ends: Favourite motto: “Be present in the moment; focus, relax and persevere”… Inspired by Krista DuChene who is a fellow dietician and was able to make the Olympic marathon standard within a year of having to take time off due to injury… Collects coffee and mugs from her travels…
