Biography

Shaina Harrison realized her potential as a sprinter when the qualified to compete at the 2014 NCAA Championships. She finished 22nd in the 100m. She also competed in the 100m at the 2014 Canadian Championships, where she made the final and finished eighth. She achieved her personal best time of 11.36 seconds in the 100m in May 2015.

Family: Parents Kevin and Sandra Harrison… Siblings Davina, Jameel and Javon… Getting into the Sport: Started running track at age 10… Her father suggested it and she was good at it so stuck with it because he believed it would be beneficial for her future… Outside Interests: Enjoys meditating, singing occasionally, creating original motivational quotes… In the off-season likes to read intriguing books and explore spiritual interests… Finished junior year at Syracuse University where she is a Psychology major and English minor in the College of Arts and Sciences… Odds and Ends: Nicknames: Shains, Shaye… Favourite motto: “Reality is so malleable.
