Canadians relish Commonwealth Games opening ceremony
On Wednesday athletes representing 71 countries gathered to celebrate the start of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Canadians arrived early and were already showing their anticipation.
Trap shooting veteran Dr. Susan Nattrass, an eight-time Commonwealth Games medallist and six-time Olympian, carried the flag for Canada’s 265 athletes at the opening ceremony.
Competition begins Thursday and will continue through August 3.
