Brandon Kozun

Biography

In his Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018, forward Brandon Kozun helped Team Canada win the bronze medal. In the leadup to PyeongChang 2018, Kozun played for Team Canada at the Channel One Cup, Karjala Cup, and Sochi Hockey Open in 2017. He previously played for Team Canada at the 2010 World Junior Championship, winning the silver medal. He played 20 NHL games for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2014-15. He has been playing in the KHL since 2015-16, first with Jokerit Helsinki before joining Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in 2016-17. Kozun played his junior hockey with the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen from 2006 to 2010, leading the league in scoring in 2009-10. He was selected in the sixth round, 179^th overall, by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He spent his first four seasons as a professional playing in the AHL with the Kings’ affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs, and the Leafs’ affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
