Hannah Darling

Biography

Hannah Darling was introduced to the sport of rugby at the age of 14 by her hockey coach and neighbours.   She excelled rather quickly, going from the club level to provincial to national in three years. She now has the potential to wear the red and white for the next decade. Darlingreceived her first cap with Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team at the 2014 Hong Kong Invitational Sevens. She made her Women’s Sevens World Series debut the following week at the Guangzhou Sevens. Her international experience at such a young age was a big reason she was named captain of Canada’s Youth Olympic Games team that finished second at Nanjing 2014. She went on to be part of the Canadian team that won the first ever women’s rugby gold medal at the Pan Am Games at Toronto 2015. After missing the opening tournament of the 2015-16 season, Darling appeared in the final four WSWS events. She has five career series tries.
