Kabir Dhillon

Biography

Kabir Dhillon did not start shooting until 2013, but in his first competitive season he won gold, finishing first in the junior division at the Indian national championships. That performance should have earned him selection to the Indian national team and a chance to compete internationally, but as an Overseas Citizen of India, he was denied that opportunity by the Indian government. That decision was upheld upon appeal to the Delhi High Court. In 2014, Dhillon won his first Canadian national title and achieved a career highlight with his fourth place finish at the World Junior Grand Prix in Porpetto, Italy while wearing the maple leaf.
