Monica Peterson

Biography

Monica Peterson, a four-time Canadian National Champion, competed at the Olympic Games for the first time in her career and placed in the top-30 in the women’s foil event in London 2012.

In the 2011, she took a bronze in the individual foil event and a silver in the team foil events at the Pan American Games in Mexico. She also added an individual bronze medal at the Pan American Championships in Reno.

In 2010 she achieved Canada’s best-ever result at a Pan American Championships for women’s individual foil by coming second. This followed a team silver at the Pan American Championships in 2008 and 2009.

At the 2007 Pan American Games, she won a team foil silver and an individual foil bronze. She also won a bronze at the Pan American Championships in the individual foil event.

At the 2006 Commonwealth Championships, Peterson was a double gold medallist, winning the team foil and individual foil events.
