Perianne Jones

Biography

Perianne Jones enjoyed the best season of her career in 2012-13, the highlight of which was her second career World Cup medal. Jones joined with Daria Gaiazova to win bronze in the team sprint in Sochi at the Olympic test event.

A year earlier Jones had won bronze in a World Cup team sprint with Chandra Crawford in Milan. The team sprint has been a strong event for Jones over the years, finishing sixth at both the 2009 (with Sara Renner) and 2011 (with Gaiazova) World Championships.

Jones made her World Cup debut in December 2005, but her first full season on tour was 2008-09. She made her Olympic debut at Vancouver 2010 where she competed individually in the sprint and 15km pursuit (now known as the skiathlon) and was also a member of the relay squad. She was back at the Olympic Games at Sochi 2014.
