Canadians Jamie Broder and Kristina Valjas won medals in the first two events of the World Tour season, but were beaten in the first knockout round in Prague, after finished second in their pool. Bansley and Pavan lost just one set throughout the tournament until the final. A third Canadian team, Melissa Humana-Paredes and Taylor Pischke, were ninth overall after coming out of their pool in second place.

Moscow is the next stop in the World Tour with both men and women seeing action on the beach.
