Clara Vulpisi represented Canada at the 2016 FINA World Youth Championships and the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships. In 2016, she helped Canada win gold at the Junior Pan American Championships where she was named Most Valuable Goalkeeper. As a member of the senior national team, she helped Canada to fourth-place finishes at the 2018 and 2021 FINA World League Super Final. The latter was the team’s first competition in more than 18 months because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, Vulpisi was in goal for two of Canada’s seven matches as the team finished seventh.
As a freshman at the University of the Pacific in 2019, she made 150 saves and posted a .470 save percentage in 22 games to become the first Tiger to earn All-Golden Coast Conference Honourable Mention and All-GCC Freshman Team honours.
