Biography

  • Won bronze in men’s individual recurve at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games after losing to teammate and eventual champion Crispin Duenas in the semifinals
  • Won gold in men’s team recurve at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games with Duenas and Brian Maxwell
  • Competed at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games, winning bronze in the international mixed team event and placing 17th in the individual competition
  • Competed at his first world championships in 2019, where he posted an international competition best score of 683 out of 720 in the qualification round
  • Achieved a career-high world ranking of 24th in June 2021
  • Placed 8th in his first senior international competition, the 2019 Pan American World Ranking Event, and helped the men’s recurve team to a gold medal
  • Competed in his first career World Archery World Cup in April 2019
  • Finished fifth in individual and team at the 2022 Pan American Championships

Getting into the Sport: Took up the sport at age 11, because of his interest in fantasy books and games… Began competing at age 13… Outside Interests: Enjoys Magic the Gathering, rock climbing, video games, and cooking while not training… Studying chemistry at the University of Waterloo…
