Evan Rutckyj

Biography

Evan Rutckyj was a member of Team Canada that won gold at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto and represented Canada in January 2019 at the COPABE Pan Am Qualifier in Brazil. He was selected in the 16th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees and spent eight seasons with the organization. He was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the Rule 5 draft following the 2015 season but was returned to the Yankees’ organization prior to the start of the 2016 season. Rutckyj signed with the Winnipeg Goldeyes partway through the 2017 season and has spent the past two years pitching for the Ottawa Champions of the CanAm League.
