Biography

• Won 57kg silver at the 2019 Pan American Championships, her first time competing in the tournament as a senior
• Won gold in the 57kg junior division at the 2018 Pan American Championships
• Wrestling Canada’s junior female athlete of the year in 2018
• Won the Canadian title in the 57kg weight class in 2019
• Was named U Sports Rookie of the Year in 2017 while competing for Brock University Badgers
• Won back-to-back U Sports national titles in the 59kg weight class in 2018 and 2019

Getting into the Sport: Started wrestling at age 11 but after two short seasons at the school level joined a club team to compete more frequently… Outside Interests: Studying Sport Management at Brock University…Odds and Ends: Collects shot glasses from different locations where she competes… Favourite motto: Experience is what you get when you don’t get what you want… Has always looked up to Tonya Verbeek… Once had a pair of wrestling boots she never lost a match while wearing and was terrified to compete without them when they got too old to wear; gave up her superstition when she continued to have success without them…
