Biography

• Winner of 4 ISA World Championship medals in three different SUP racing disciplines
• 2016 and 2018 Canadian SUP Racing champion
• Became SUP distance racing world champion just four years after taking up the sport
• First Canadian woman ever to compete in the historic Molokai 2 Ohau Paddleboard Championships
• First woman to officially complete the 750km Yukon River Quest Marathon Race as a SUP entrant

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT LINA

Getting into the Sport: Was a competitive gymnast during her youth… Took up competitive stand up paddleboard after discovering it by chance in California at age 30… Outside Interests: Loves taking part in outdoor sports when not working or training, including camping in the summer and skiing in the winter… Works as a high school teacher… Odds and Ends: Collects stickers and house decorations from locations where she has competed… Is the SUP director of Surf Canada…
