Biography
Defender Marie-Ève Nault made her Olympic debut for Canada at London 2012 where she was a member of the bronze medal winning women’s team. She also served as a team alternate at Rio 2016.
Nault first dressed for Canada in 2004 and was a member of the team that finished third at the 2004 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament in Costa Rica. After helping Canada win the 2010 CONCACAF Championship, she was on the squad that competed at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, appearing in two matches. She would go on to help Canada to a sixth-place finish at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup on home soil. She announced her retirement in January 2017.
From Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Nault played her college soccer at the University of Tennessee, where she was one of the top defenders in Vols history, and six of her nine career goals proved to be match-winners.
