Biography
Veteran Olympian Rachelle Viinberg won her first Olympic medal at the London 2012 Games as part of the women’s eight rowing crew.
She competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in the women’s quad sculls, finishing eighth, and was an alternate on the 2004 Olympic team.
Heading into the London Games, she had competed in six World Championships winning back-to-back silver medals in the women’s eight in 2010 and 2011 and silver in the 2002 coxless fours.
The former competitive swimmer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Victoria, B.C., and is now a naturopathic doctor.
