Stephanie Norlander

Biography

Stephanie Norlander is one of the younger members of a veteran national team with 114 senior caps heading into the 2019 Pan American Games. She scored her first international goal at 2013 Pan American Cup where Canada won the bronze medal. Earlier in the year she had suited up for Canada at the FIH Junior World Cup. In 2015, Norlander was part of the team that won bronze at the Pan Am Games in Toronto, becoming the first Canadian women’s team to win a medal at the event since 1999. Norlander scored three goals in Canada’s six games at the tournament. In 2018, she competed at the Commonwealth Games, helping Canada to a best-ever fifth-place finish. In her first year at the University of Iowa, Norlander was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and to the NFHCA West Region All-America second team after scoring nine goals, four of them game winning. As a sophomore she was named second team NFHCA All-American and first team All-Big Ten.
