Myriam Laplante
Biography
Myriam Laplante has dreamed of competing at the Olympic Games since she was first invited to participate in a national training camp. She was a member of the Canadian team that finished ninth at the 2013 Pan American Championships, defeating Costa Rica in the final classification match. Laplante achieved a career highlight representing Canada at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, helping Canada to a seventh-place finish. She also helped her club team, Handball Champlain, to back-to-back championship seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19, in addition to winning the league scoring title in 2017-18.
